Springfield Gardens, Queens, 2023 Tree Lighting
A tree that means a lot to the Springfield Gardens community. The original tree lighting scheduled for November 29th had to be rescheduled for December 6th due to no electricity to power the lighting. However, on December 6th, the community came out in full force to witness this annual event. In attendance were the Members of VFSP, Councilwoman Selvena N. Brooks-Powers, and the Springfield High School Basketball Team. There were lots of donuts and hot chocolate to go around to help keep us warm for the lighting.
The tree will remain lighted until January 6th, 2023.
